Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor from 11 November 1996. Following her feature film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte as Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modelling after she was approached. The outcome proved to be a lucrative career. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamorous or sexually explicit work. The rule was extended to Doody's acting work. In 1985, following getting noticed by the directors of casting for the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. After a long absence from the stage Doody was back in the acting world and acted in a tiny role in 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an award ceremony scene. Doody's roles included the TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust, and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. In the following year, she was a guest in the RTE medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. The actress began her two seasons on the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November she received the Almeria award for best film as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
