Aisha Jamila is an American actress, best known for her roles in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. She has demonstrated her versatility in 2003 with her outstanding performances on TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit as well as 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. In 2005 she came under the spotlight initially for her role as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 It was however her performance in the role of women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind's portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was also highly appreciated. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for the third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has recently completed filming on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters and will premiere in the second half of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj was who is an Army scientist who died on March 18 2017. She and her mother Vrinda are both housewives. Aditya is her elder brother who is also a merchant naval engineer. Her older brother, Aditya Rai coproduced and cowrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. She was a student at Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai which is where her family moved to. After completing her intermediate studies at Jai Hind College, she began her studies at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she was able to score a 90 percentile on her H.S.C. exams. The student studied classical music and dance for 5 yrs through her teenage time. Biology was one of her most loved subjects. Bachchan was a student of architectural studies when she was crowned Miss World in 1994. This was her first step into the limelight of modeling. The company hired her PepsiCo Inc., Vogue magazine and L'Oreal Paris as spokesmodel in 2003. In 1997, she had two highly-acclaimed roles: Iruvar and Aur pyaar ho gaya. The two films shattered the traditional form that was prevalent in Bollywood films at the time propelling Bachchan onto the forefront of what is now known as the New Bollywood. The heartbreaking performance of Bachchan as Paro she was the lover who was cheating on within Devdas (2002), one of the most well-known Bollywood films at that time. Its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival cemented her as the queen of Bollywood. After that, she was highly praised for her character in Chokher (2003) the intense story based on RabindranathTagore's novel. That same year, she was named the first Indian actress on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan began her career in the film Gurinderchadha's Bride and Prejudice, a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. That was when Bachchan added her star-power and a beautiful face to her first major film in English. After her release Provoked: a True Story in English, she returned to Bollywood and appeared in the blockbuster Dhoom: 2 (2007). Abhishek Bachchan was a frequent actor, and was the son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007 she got married to her. It was a union of two powerful Indian personalities.
